Quite a small bath. It looks a little scuffed at the moment but when we're feeling strong enough we shall drag it outside and give it a light sand with the finest of fine sandpapers. There is a bit of rust around the plughole which could be covered with a new and larger trap. All the feet are quite decorative ball and claw feet though one of them is of a slightly different design.
The main reason we took this bath in is that it could be used as a double ended bath as there are no tap holes or overflow. Its very unusual to find a British original bath like this, plenty of repro's and ones from the continent, but this one hailes from one of Helensburgh's grandest houses.
N.B. If you wanted to use it to fit 2 people in, you'd have to be a little on the small side. |
